Kumtor Operating Company is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics for its gold operation located in the Kyrgyz Republic, Central Asia. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of mobile equipment and machinery at the mine site. The ability to work with, train and develop national mechanics is a key component of this position.
Qualification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic/Fitter, and at least five years of related experience are required; experience with the maintenance of Caterpillar equipment is essential. Responsibilities will include the maintenance of a fleet of Cat and Liebherr equipment , 777B ,785C trucks, 8L, 9L and 10R dozers, 5130B, 9350 shovels and other Cat equipment.
This is 12 month term contracts (renewable) located at the Kumtor mine site. Prior experience in a FSU country, or other expatriate environment, would be advantageous.Medically fit to work at high altitude will be a requirement.
The work schedule will be a FIFO 4X4 week rotation. Rotational positions are based at the mine site. US Dollar salary with normal company benefits is offered.
