Applications are invited for the position of Process Manager for the Kumtor open pit gold mine in the Kyrgyz Republic, Central Asia.
Reporting to the Vice President Operations, the Process Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the total Process function with the objective to improve, maintain and sustain optimum ore processing and gold recovery.
The Kumtor Mill operates at a nominal 16,000 tpd capacity and consists of crushing, grinding, flotation, cyanide leaching and gold recovery in two separate carbon-in-leach ("CIL") circuits with final gold recovery accomplished by electro winning and refining. A Process/Metallurgical Professional with a minimum of 5 years Senior Management experience is required, preferably in at least 2 similar size operations. Expertise in mineral processing, particularly in grinding and sulfide flotation techniques is essential. A track record in technical project evaluation, management and control, are also key attributes.
The ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual with a high degree of integrity. Prior experience in a FSU country, or developing countries, would be advantageous. The incumbent will further be expected to promote the Company Behavioral Based Safety program and drive Continuous Improvement Process Programs. A familiarity and working knowledge of Six Sigma principles will be of benefit. An important component of the job function is an active involvement in the training and development programs for National staff.
This is a resident position, located in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic though the incumbent will work and live at the mine site during the work week.
An attractive resident expatriate remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
