General Accountability:

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Operations, the position of Treasury Analyst will assume responsibility for all aspects of core Treasury operations including cash management, forecasting, short-term investing or borrowing, bank account management and Treasury systems. Consistent with Centerra's Financial Risk Management Policy and Programs, the Treasury Analyst will regularly monitor the Company's existing and potential counterparties with a view to identifying any risk exposures. Where applicable this role will also assist the Manager, Treasury Operations and the Treasurer in executing all financial &/or commodity derivative instruments with approved counterparties. The Treasury Analyst will assist the Manager, Treasury Operations and the Treasurer in assessing the department's technical requirements and the implementation and maintenance of Treasury systems that meet both current and future departmental needs, as required. Furthermore, this position will also play an important role in assessing and maintaining departmental internal controls in connection with Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") requirements with respect to cash, investments, and bank account management. The Treasury Analyst may also be called upon to assist the Manager, Treasury Operations in relation with Centerra's insurance program.

Nature and Scope:

The successful candidate must possess a proven understanding of financial markets, including economic, political and market trends, as well as interest and currency rate movements. An understanding of precious metal markets is desirable. He/she must also have thorough knowledge of Canadian and U.S. banking practices. Experience with electronically-based banking platforms and general knowledge of international banking are also desirable. He/she must have thorough knowledge of short-term investment instruments in the US and Canada. He/she will be results-oriented, be known for their dynamism and tenacity through a superior work ethic and be able to handle, operating under tight deadlines. He/she must have superior communication and interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain effective relationships with both company personnel (corporate office and site), and external parties. An ability to be relentlessly inquisitive about current practices with a view toward business process improvement with respect to delivery of treasury services is a key attribute of this position, as is having a determined and focused goal-driven orientation with an exacting attention to detail. It is not anticipated that travel will be required.

Specific Accountabilities:

Internal/External Relationships

This position will require interaction with senior management, and various groups across the Company including Accounting, Tax, Exploration, Business Development, Legal, Operations, HR and Internal Audit Departments. External relationships are primarily through U.S. and Canadian banking personnel at various levels.

Qualifications

A university degree, with preference toward candidates possessing an Accounting designation, (CA, CGA/CMA), &/or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) &/or the successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). A minimum of two years of relevant treasury experience with an exposure to corporate insurance is preferred.
